Tim was reared in Des Moines, Iowa and grew up playing sports such as hockey, baseball and football. It was at an early age that Tim developed an interest in severe weather and tornadoes after he witnessed his first tornado at the age of 12.

After graduating from Dowling Catholic High School, Tim studied Aviation and Business Management at The University of Dubuque and received his meteorology training at Mississippi State University.  With nearly 20 years of storm chasing experience, Tim witnessed countless tornadoes throughout the nation's heartland.

Tim got into the weather business as a free-lance Stormchaser and Video Stringer for The Weather Channel, by providing dramatic, weather video for broadcast on national television.  As a Broadcast Meteorologist, he worked at KREM-TV in Spokane, WA, KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, WY, KGAN/KFXA-TV in Cedar Rapids, IA and WISC-TV in Madision, WI.

When not in front of the camera, you fill find Tim actively involved in community activities, playing hockey, fishing, biking or playing a round of golf.
