Put Your Foot Down Against HIV/AIDS!
Return to event list.September 18, 2011 is the day when walkers across the state of Nebraska will once again walk in support of AIDS Walk Nebraska. The AIDS Walk will take place in Six locations across the state of Nebraska. Kearney and Hastings, Nebraska are two locations in central Nebraska were individuals can get involved. The annual AIDS Walk is one of the Nebraska AIDS Project’s largest fundraisers in central Nebraska. All proceeds raised go towards providing dependable, high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health care to those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. In a state where someone is newly diagnosed every 3 1/2 days in Nebraska with HIV and it is estimated that somewhere between 600 to 800 people are infected but don’t know it, AIDS Walk Nebraska plays a vital role in raising funds to fight the epidemic.
