Bismark Road Grand Island, NE In October of 2011, beautiful, determined and precocious Rory Thorpe of Grand Island, who was born with Spina Bifida, contracted E- coli which created complications for her little body and she developed Kidney failure. The physicians are having trouble regulating her vitals and recently her blood pressure has gotten too high and she experienced seizures two different times. Rory has been moved to Iowa City Iowa where a team of specialists are currently trying to get her system regulated. When she is well again, she will be put on the kidney transplant list. Rory has been in and out of the hospital for the past eight months. The event will be held June 23, 2012 from 1 - 4 p.m. at United Congregational Church 405 E. Bismark Road Grand Island, NE. This event will include carnival games & prizes, ice cream sundaes & floats, a petting zoo and a raffle. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Rory Thorpe Family to help cover medical expenses. Supplemental funds will be provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. A Rory Thorpe Benefit Fund has been set up at Centris Credit Union on 3406 W. State Street.Please give Rory & her family your support. This event is sponsored by Nebraska Spina Bifida. |
