Event Description

Wood River will host Marcos and Sabor, Saturday, September 22 at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public sponsored by the Celebrate Wood River committee. Headed by the guitar sensation, Marcos, this extraordinarily talented group from South Omaha plays a variety of music and styles that include Santana, Classic Rock, Cumbia, Latin Jazz, Bachata, Ballads, Blues, American Oldies y mucho más. Marcos is an accomplished musician with over 25 years of
experience in many genres of music such as Rock, Blues, Latin and Mariachi. He plays the guitar, bass, vihuela, mandolin, guitarron and various percussion instruments. Marcos E. Mora, a third generation Mexican American, was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in South Omaha, NE. He comes from one of the largest Mexican American families in Omaha—La familia Barrientos, that has contributed to the Omaha music scene for over 80 years! A performance that is sure to rock the house!”

The Celebrate Wood River Committee’s mission has been to make the dream of providing entertainment and enrichment activities to the Wood River area come to life. All events are open to the public and are provided at no charge thanks to the generous support of our three benefactors-the Donna Lee Moyer Performing Arts Gift, the Wood River Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment. No tickets are needed for performances; seating is first-come, first-served.
