38th Stratton Recreation Club Fall Festival
Return to event list.September, 29, 2012 Stratton, NE Thirty-eight years ago a small group of people decided to have a free barbeque and street dance. From that first celebration we now have an annual tradition in Stratton, NE that falls on the last Saturday of September. The Stratton Recreation Club was formed to fund and organize this annual event. A craft fair was added to the day as well as team penning, a parade, a melodrama and many other events that have come and gone through the years. We are excited about this year’s 38th consecutive Stratton Recreation Club Fall Festival and invite you to join us for the day’s events: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Craft Fair at the VM Hall 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tractor Rodeo 12:00 p.m. Mud Bog west of Pitner Park ($1 Admission for adults, 12 and under Free, Concession Stand available for Lunch) 1:00 p.m. Little House Museum, Bailey Cabin Dedication 1:00 p.m. Larry Forch Jr. Tree Dedication at Pitner Park with Homemade Ice Cream 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Children’s Games in Pitner Park 4:30 p.m. Parade down Main Street – Theme: Stratton’s History Rebuilt 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. FREE BARBEQUE on Main Street 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Street Dance 10:00 p.m. Stratton Recreation Club Raffle Drawings (Dell Laptop and 2 - $50.00 Cash Drawings) -Sponsoring Organizations – Stratton Recreation Club Stratton Chamber of Commerce |
