Josh Egbert
Weekend Anchor/Reporter
Josh Egbert anchors News 5's Weekend Edition at 10:00 pm and reports on the weekdays. He joined the News 5 team in August of 2011. Josh is originally from Colorado but comes to Nebraska from KTVH in Helena, Montana where he served as Anchor and Producer of the 10pm weeknight show.
He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Technical Journalism and Communications. During his time at CSU, Josh anchored, reported, and produced for the student run television station CTV News.
Josh began his television career at KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado as the stations first "backpack journalist". There he was both a reporter and photographer. He worked a variety of different shifts including the morning show, when he had to be to work at 2 in the morning!
He also spent a summer interning at KDVR, Fox 31 in Denver where he gained invaluable experience working along side some of Denver's best new reporters and photographers.
Originally from Colorado, he grew up (and yes I'll admit it) a Buffaloes fan, but quickly changed his tone after attending CSU. Josh is excited to now call Nebraska home. He looks forward to meeting new people and telling the stories that matter most to YOU.
