Julie Tork

Julie Tork manages the website for KHAS-TV, providing News 5 with its online home at khastv.com as well as providing graphics for on-air broadcasts. A Hastings, Nebraska native, Julie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an Art History major and Studio Art minor. She has also completed a Graphic Design certification program from Sessions College of Professional Design. She became a part of the News 5 team in October of 2003.
Julie has designed and maintained a variety of websites from the Heartland to Hollywood. She has also designed projects for local musicians, authors and music events. Julie is an active member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
KHASTV.COM was the recipient of 1st Place for Website in the Nebraska 2006 Associated Press Awards as well as 2nd Place in both 2007 and 2008 and 2010.
One of Julie's recent projects in 2008 and 2009 was nominated as "Outstanding Graphic Design Work" by a New York Design School.
Julie enjoys the spontaneity and everyday challenges of working in the newsroom: “I have had the privilege to meet a lot of great people and I also get the opportunity to grow as a designer.”
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, watching F1 or Nascar, writing, painting, reading and listening to music.
