Woke up this am and found a camera in my face by KH2. This is the sleeping arrangements of where we are at.




Feeling good. We know we are not going anywhere and hopeful that it is tomorrow that we get to fly out. So I will discuss the little things that have made this day special. Not retarded like KH1 but special. They truly are getting a little paranoid (KH1 and 2). They know they are being watched and listened to all the time now. They are tempered in their activities. Acting suspicious at all times. KH2 took a 3 hour nap and it now 11pm and he is eating an apple and circles the compound
looking for someone to talk to. I'm worried about him. He seems to be de shoveled. That's actually how you spell that. He got up today and was popping off about the N on the helmet of Nebraska standing for knowledge. So I booby trapped his cot to fall backwards when he sat on it. This is the little things getting us by. He proceeded to hum or sing. He has this propensity(like that word also) to wake up in
the middle of the night singing Bruce Springstein. Born in the U.S.A. I told him to stop b/c I was going to have to pop out my lovely singing voice and put him to shame. All the people who work with me know this. They have asked me to go on American Idol but I prefer to go on the show, so you can dance. If you didn't know it I actually sang in a wedding once and there is video to prove it. If you can procure(like that word also) that video I would give you 20 bucks. Anyway my sister Shelly thought I was awesome and that's all that matters. Most people asked me for my autograph after the wedding. Thought I was going somewhere with that skill of mine. Anyway I digress. I'm on fire with the vocabulary tonight.

So I got him off my back and then KH1 starts in on me about this blogging stuff. Its in Russian so I can't tell what he is saying. I tell him to speak English and then he talks with this West Virginia accent and I tell him to go back to Russian b/c I like it better.

So I'm looking for the little things in life that make me happy today b/c if I don't I will go nuts. So we are going to have a serious of questions that you can stimulate your mind with today. I will describe my day and add pictures to it.

The first thing I likes is we didn't have to wear our ACU's today. Which in human terms we did not have to wear our full uniform. We instead could wear our PT uniform's. What that means is the army has a set of t-shirt and shorts that you must wear if you are working out. I know it sounds funny but everybody must look the same. So the little thing that made me happy is wearing shorts and a shirt. The picture below shows that.




I know what your thinking. #1 he needs a tan. Well that's coming. #2 his legs look like chicken legs. Well too bad. They have been that way since I was 14 and they are not going to change. #3 those are hairy. Too bad. That started about then also and I'm not going to shave them. I am thinking about putting this picture on a billboard for the new "Shane's Chick and Shrimp" restaurant in Hastings. I was
so excited to be wearing shorts though. Its not pretty though with Kh2 wearing shorts all the time. KH1 is so gung ho that he is still wearing his ACU's. Always got to be ready to fight a battle he says to me in Russian.

The second part of my day that makes me excited is that they have Lucky Charms in the little cereal bowls this morning.




I have not had these FOR-EV-ER. I just said it like they did in that movie sandlot. Another classic. Anyway that was another little thing that I enjoyed. Now there is a specific technique that you should eat lucky charms in to make it so much better. I will teach you. You pour the cereal in the bowl then you add just enough milk to
make everything float. You start out with a couple of normal scoops and then here is the technique to maximize your enjoyment. The crummy part is the brown cereal stuff that they have to add to make the mothers of the world at least buy it. Well you should have a fair amount of marsh mellow goodies left. You want to put only
one marsh mellow with the cereal part until all the cereal stuff is gone. That way it is not so crummy and you get a little enjoyment out of each bite. Then what your left with is this huge smorgus board(didn't know how to spell this and don't care) of marsh mellows left over to make it so good in the end. I enjoyed my cereal today. So question #1 is what is your 5 favorite cereals? Here's mine

#1 Lucky Charms
#2 Fruity Pebbles. Did you know they are coming out with some that they put marsh
mellows in
#3 Cinnamon Toast Crunch
#4 Oatmeal. I know it sounds bland but I get the brown sugar type and add about 3
teaspoons to it so it tastes great.
#5 Raisin Brand. with sugar of course.

So then went and enjoyed another hot shower at another building here at the prison and that was great. Don't know if you will get one tomorrow so I'm savoring every aspects of normal life. Came back and we hung out in the big house and then got to go to the PX today. I'm not sure what that stands for but its like a little walmart
with a food court and other shops. Basically a little mall. Had a chalupa from the TB.(Taco Bell - army talk). Had a little BR (Baskin Robbin's) b/c we didn't know if we would ever have ice cream again. Our two hours were up in the detention yard and went home to the big house. As you can tell I'm referring to where we are at as a
prison. Thanks for following along. So small little things are making me happy.

Then watching NBA on the big screens and supper. Here comes our last discussion. Don't give up yet. I think I will stimulate a conversation if you wait. Supper had a special surprise of what is in the picture below




Yes that is a picture of jello with fruit in it. I'm all a tissy b/c haven't had that for awhile also. Mom used to make it a lot. Now there is a huge controversy in this country about whether to put fruit in jello or not. It is very polarizing. I'm obviously for it. I think it gives something to it. I like it when your somewhat color specific. Mandarin oranges in orange jello. I think red jello, as we see here, can take the fruit cocktail mix with ease. I will tell you there is one thing that I think should be forbidden in jello and that is bananas. Something
about the texture. Don't get mad. I'm not a banana hater but just not in jello. That's just not right. So the question is are you a fruit in jello person or not? Then ask your family for me. I'm begging you b/c you want to love them and ask them what there heart desires. For me?

The rest of the evening was uneventful. We are not leaving tomorrow. They told us already. I know you are bored and so am I. I will hopefully think of more things to ask and stimulate your mind with or maybe I will be philosophical again.
