Like every year, the Adams County Fair ends with the traditional livestock auction. Monday morning area 4–Hers auctioned their cows, pigs and goats, after putting in months of work to get their animals ready. Those kids are the focus of this week's 'Celebrate Youth.'

Nearly 90 area kids took part in this year's livestock auction.

Some have started putting work into their animals since last fall – feeding, cleaning, raising and prepping them for show. Some sold their animals for about $300 on average.

Danielle Wallace of Nelson made $275 dollars off her cow, but that becomes a donation, since she decided to retain ownership of it.

"She is a real sweetheart and she did real good for me and so, she is really kind of like a pet to me and I would really miss her if I had to sell her," said Wallace.

This year nearly 26 cows were auctioned as well as 8 goats, 61 pigs, 74 sheep and 10 chickens.
