Sunrise Express and KHAS-TV along with the help of Garrett Tires are teaming up to Fight Hunger July 22 - July 26.

DONATIONS BENEFIT THE HASTINGS AND GRAND ISLAND FOOD PANTRIES

Please help in our efforts by donating items from your cupboard or off the list below.Whether you donate a can or a case, everything goes towards helping those in need. Help us “make the sun rise a little brighter” for families in need. See our schedule below for drop-off times and locations. You can also register to win 2 "Larry the Cable Guy" tickets when you make a donation!

If you are a local business or organization that wants to collect food items as well we will pick them up from you. Just call KHAS to get it arranged!

The following items are included in a case that a 4-person family would receive from the food pantry: 1 box cold cereal 1 box hot cereal or oatmeal 1 box granola bars or pop tarts 4 cans green beans 4 cans corn 4 cans peas 4 cans misc. vegetables 4 cans tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, sloppy joe sauce 4 cans fruit 4 cans beans 2 cans milk 4 cans meat 4 cans spaghetti o’s or ravioli 5 cans soup, stew or chili 4 misc. jars, cans or packages 4 microwave popcorn 4 snacks 1 bag flour and 1 bag sugar 4 packages noodles, mashed potatoes, rice or dried beans 4 boxes macaroni and cheese, tuna or hamburger helper, scalloped potatoes or rice/ pasta packets 4 packages seasoning 1 package powdered milk 4 boxes pudding or jell-o 4 baking items 2 juices 4 drinks

KHAS-TV Staff will be at various places around the Tri-Cities throughout the week to help collect donations. Come out and see us!
