Game of the Week: Axtell vs Giltner


(11/03/2009) News 5 Sports - High school football players resume tomorrow with second round action. The Class D–1 rematch between the Giltner Hornets and Axtell Wildcats is our Aurora Cooperative Game of the Week.

The Hornets hosted the Wildcats three weeks ago, as Giltner quarterback Nate Most was on his way to the all time yardage passing record for high school players in Nebraska.

The game got out of hand pretty early, as Giltner scored two quick touchdowns to take the lead and never looked back enroute to a 38–7 win.

The town of Axtell is getting ready to host this playoff game.
It kicks off Wednesday night at 6:30. Giltner is 8–1 and Axtell is 7–2.
