Blood donors help save 7 year old's life

by Kevin Rempe

Almost four years ago, Brett Johnson was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He was just seven years old. Brett was treated at Children's Hospital and Medical Center, where he received blood and platelets.
Donations from complete strangers, helped save his life. He's now 11 and in remission.

Their family now gives blood on a regular basis. And you can help too.
KHAS-TV and the Red Cross are sponsoring the "Giving Back Blood Drive."

Friday, September 30th from noon to 6:00 at both the Hastings and Grand Island YMCA's.
