19 year old charged with attempted murder

19–year–old William Matthews was found guilty this week of attempted first degree murder.

Guns were drawn in broad daylight near the intersection of 12th and Eddy streets back in April of 20–11.

Witnesses said it began as a fight between two people.

Matthews will be back in court in November for sentencing on his six charges he's facing.

He will spend at least 15 years in jail, with the potential of spending the rest of his life behind bars.
