A chilly Harvest of Harmony Parade in Grand Island

Temperatures in the 20s and 30s didn't deter people from lining the streets of downtown Grand Island Saturday morning for this year's Harvest of Harmony parade.

They came from across the state to strut their stuff or show their support for a particular cause or business.

This year's theme, "Soaring through the Heartland - Choppers, Planes, and Cranes," was creatively displayed by many groups.

Over 200 floats and marching bands paraded down Third Street in Grand Island, much to the delight of cold but adoring friends, family members, and fans.

"I am having a blast," said attendant Kimberly Shramek. "There are always gloves, always more layers. You can always have fun."

The floats were judged in three separate categories Friday at Fonner Park.

Cash prizes, trophies and ribbons were up for grabs for the floats in the parade.
