A little Taste of Grand Island

From the Chicken Coop to the Chocolate Bar, sometimes it's hard to choose where you want to eat.

But Saturday night it was all at one stop at the Grand Island Rotary Club's third annual Taste of Grand Island.

Around 20 local vendors brought a sample of their favorite dishes and beverages to the Skagway Banquet Center.

The event also included a live auction.

The money raised goes towards Rotary Polio Plus and Youth Leadership Tomorrow.

"Youth leadership tomorrow, we conduct training sessions for youth in the community to help them connect with their community and to help them develop their leadership skills," said Brenda Branstiter, Executive Director of Youth Leadership Tomorrow.

Two hundred fifty people attended the event.

They are hoping to reach their goal of around $15,000 in funds raised.
