ACLU could target Gov. Heineman for new lawsuit

Governor Dave Heineman and the state of Nebraska could be next on the hit parade for the ACLU - this according to a report from the Omaha World Herald.

A lawsuit over Heineman's stance on not giving young illegal immigrants in the state a driver's license could be on the horizon now that the American Civil Liberties Union has filed suit against Arizona's governor for the same issue.

Heineman has stated in the past that he is firmly against using Nebraska taxpayer money to fund benefits for illegal immigrants.

Nebraska is one of three states that is refusing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. The other two are Arizona and Michigan.
