Accident temporarily closes Highway 2 in Grand Island

Highway 2 in Grand Island was shut down for nearly an hour Tuesday afternoon. Around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, a semi was traveling northbound on Highway 2 along Webb Road when the driver failed to yield, then collided with another semi-truck.

The two semi's took out a utility pole and ended up in a ditch.

Highway 2 was shut down for about a hour, but has since been reopened.

The driver of the truck traveling northbound was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
