Accusation against Sutton Police chief surrounded in confusion

For the second day in a row we've tried contacting City Hall in Sutton to find out why a particular item on the city council's agenda was removed. No one seems to know, not even the Mayor.

Sutton Police Chief Tracey Landenberger is under investigation for the misuse of city funds.

The Auditor of Public Accounts found that the city purchased duty gear, a holster and a rifle for the Landenberger's personal use.

The APA examined activity during the period of October 1, 2009 through August 31, 2012.

But, uncertainty continues to loom.

Council member Fred Figi placed the item on the agenda at last night's city council meeting. But it was then removed.

Figi still has not returned News 5's phone calls.
