While it may not feel like it out outside the spring musical season is upon us. And some area high school students are ready to 'kick off their Sunday shoes' starting this Friday night.

Wednesday students performed a dress rehearsal for "Footloose."

Adams Central High School is putting on the popular production this weekend.

50 students make up the cast to tell the story of a boy who moves to a small town where the preacher has banned dancing.

It's a fun change for the cast.

"They have loved it. They've enjoyed the music a lot. Because the show is very upbeat and it's funny. It has a lot of comedy," said Vocal Music Teacher / Director Linda Johnson.

Of course, the last two years our shows have been very serious.

"It's definitely been a lot of fun with the dancing and the choreography. Because we did Les Miserables last year and it's totally different from everything we've done," said Levi Cermak, "Chuck Cranston."

Again, show times are this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00.

Tickets are $8.

Buy soon. Friday night is already sold out.
