There are a couple of workshops going on this week at the Adams County UNL Extension Office which is out at the fairgrounds. Ron Seymour spoke with News 5 about the events.

Amy West: First is a crop production clinic going on Tuesday. What are some of the topics you are going to discuss there?

Ron Seymour: There's a lot of really good topics that would be interesting to agriculture professionals, farmers and people interested in agriculture topics in general. We're going to be talking about pest management, insects, diseases, weeds, and some of the different things people should be looking at for controlling those pests and their crops. Always the newest information as it becomes available in these crop production clinics.

In addition to those topics, we'll also have more about soil, water, and ag management types of issues. We'll also have someone come talk about the farm bill - that's a really big issue.

Amy: Huge issue right now. Especially since it's only for nine months. What are they going to address there?

Ron: Just an update on what the farm bill looks like right now and what we can expect and we'll also be talking about some estate planning. In addition, we'll be talking about drought issues.
