The Central Nebraska Regional Airport is celebrating a big anniversary this month.

Seventy five years ago the airport officially began taking off and landing.

Military and Classic air crafts were on display for visitors to peak at.

There was also a dedication of the 6th Bomber Group.

Mike Olson, Executive Director of the airport, says the military has a big part in helping the airport grow.

"We've come a long ways in 75 year, but over the next 5 years were going to come a lot father yet with a new terminal and extended runway," Olson said.

Plans are underway to construct a new passenger terminal building and to extend the runway.
