Anderson steps down from Hastings Utilities Board

Tools

The search is on for a new Chairman for the Hastings Utilities Board.
This as current Chairman George Anderson has announced he's stepping down.

Anderson's been Chairman since 2001.

He said he told Mayor Vern Powers he wanted to step down late last year and that Thursday's board meeting was probably his last.

Anderson said he's only walking away because he's running out of time for everything he wants to do in other areas of his life including Motorsport Park Hastings.

He also said that he's happy where everything is right now with the board namely the utility rate structure being set for the next four years.
