Since it was first started in 2005, the Todd Becker Foundation has put on assemblies in 11 states reaching out to 30,000 high school students.

It is all in memory of 18 year old Kearney High Senior Todd Becker who was killed in a drunk driving car crash on February 6th 2005.

Monday night was the foundation's annual banquet at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney to raise money, and continue their mission of informing students about their choices and the consequences.

This year's theme: "We Will Speak."

"The message of hope through Jesus Christ and for students to take that - the narrow path, the way that's not going to lead to destruction, the path that's going to lead them to everlasting," said board member Tim Danube.

More than a thousand people attended Monday night's event.

The faith-based organization's annual banquet included a silent auction and dinner and also a program from best-selling author and speaker Josh McDowell.
