Aurora parade accident injurs several

Six people were taken to the hospital after the driver of a car lost control and hit the pedestrians as they were waiting for a parade to start in Aurora.

Aurora Police say the accident happened just before noon Saturday. They say a vehicle crossed the intersection at 7th and M and struck the six people sitting along the parade route.

The parade had not reached the intersection at the time of the accident.
Four of the victims were transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Grand Island.

One was released from Aurora and another will stay overnight for observation. The accident remains under investigation.
