A former Hastings College wrestler and his mother were remembered today as community members came together to help raise money for their services.

Bradley Cusatis and his mother Tracy Cole were tragically killed in Northwest Kansas in September.

From baked goods to homemade jewelry, hundreds of items were available for purchase.

Donna Woodward, who helped put this event together, says she did it because Tracy and Bradley had no insurance to cover the funeral.

Woodward wanted to help her best friend's family get through this difficult time.

"I think it's a great thing that we do," Woodward said. "We're a big family at Walmart. We help each other no matter what, even if it's something small. This is a big event, so it means a lot to me to see the community come out to help us do this."

They have raised $800 so far and are hoping to get to $1,500.

A fund has been set up at the Hastings Federal Credit Union in Bradley and Tracy's name.
