Blue Hill gathers for football game after crash
The Blue Hill football game on Friday night was more than just a typical night in Nebraska.
It was the first activity after the fatal bus crash that killed four people. Blue Hill won the game against Doniphan-Trumbull 28-18. But the final score did not matter. After the clock hit zero all the emotions came out after a tough three days. The student body had everyone that was still at the field come out and make a big circle. They chanted out the names of the victims and say they will never forget. Blue Hill Coach, Scott Porter, says that hopefully this will be the first step in the healing process. "Not just the community, but also the family that lost love ones and our thoughts and prayers are with them; the community," Porter said. "Hopefully this is the right step towards the healing process." |
