Hastings College made a big announcement Thursday. The Bobby Gottsch Difference Makers campaign is entering its public phase.

Gottsch passed away last summer. He was a longtime time vice chair of the Board of Trustees. The campaign will honor him by providing scholarships and guidance to students.

"We're looking for young people who will come from where they started, generally rural roots, maybe not a lot of money and they'll be able to come to Hastings College and leave here and go out and make a difference in life," said Don Jackson.

Jackson says helping students reach their full potential was very important to Gottsch.
