Bowl for Kids' Sake at Pastime Lanes
Whether its strikes, spares, or gutter balls, the goal Saturday was to raise money to support local children.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings held their annual Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser at Pastime Lanes.
Funds raised by the event stay in Central Nebraska to help support matching up adult mentors with children.
You may see some familiar faces competing.
News 5 won the competition of best local bowling team, out scoring KHAS radio and the Hastings Tribune.
Each bowler raised a minimum of $50, but the event also helps to raise awareness.
"It's just a fun time for us to share awareness of our program and also a fun time for people to give back to their community and make a difference in a children's life," said Darci Meyer, Executive Director. "If they don't have that hour a week to give to mentor a child, this is a fun way to give once a year and still know that they are making an impact and a difference."
If you would like to make a donation you can visit their website at BBBSH.org or you can drop off a donation at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Office.
