Bruning sets debate schedule

Attorney General Jon Bruning officially filed his papers to run for U.S Senate. But, is he ready to take on his fellow candidates in a debate?

In an interview with the Kearney HUB on Tuesday, Bruning's campaign Manager said the attorney general will debate, but not until the filing deadline has passed and the entire GOP field for senate has been set.

That deadline is March 1st.

There is a debate scheduled for February 11th in Kearney.

State Treasurer Don Stenberg has challenged Bruning to participate in the Kearney debate.

Along with Stenberg, Pat Flynn of Schuyler, Deb Fischer of Valentine and Spencer Zimemrman of Omaha have already said they'll participate in the February 11th debate.

Former U.S Senator Bob Kerrey has yet to announce if he'll run for the Democrats.
