Students at Central Community College in Hastings are displaying their artwork at the 11th annual Media Arts Photography and Art Show.

From horses to road signs, eleven students from the Exhibit Preparation class have work on display at the Phelps building on campus.

That includes three graphic designers and eight photographers.

This year's theme is layers.

"They learned how to mat and frame their artwork, how to promote themselves with brochures, writing news releases, making business cards and logos," said Media Arts Instructor Carole Meyer.

"A lot of these things we do for actual clients and I think that's a really good way to get real world experience and learn things involved in making work for the public," said student Michael Beahm.

The exhibit will be on display through March 14th. It's free and open to the public.

Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.
