Calves born at the Nebraska State Fair
The birthing pavilion at the Nebraska State Fair has had a busy start to the weekend.
Two baby calves were born since Friday night. The first cow was in labor for several hours Friday before finally delivering the calf around 9 p.m. Friday night. The second calf was born bright and early Saturday morning. Two more expectant mothers were brought in Saturday in hopes of having their calves by the end of the fair. Six calves have been born in the birthing pavilion since the start of the fair. The purpose of the pavilion is to help educate the public about agriculture. The Birthing Pavilion is located in the Sheep Barn. It's open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
