Car collides with train in Gibbon

Highway 30 near Gibbon was closed Friday afternoon due to a truck-train accident at the Sodtowne Road crossing and because of the life-flight helicopter that had to land on the road.

The train struck the pickup truck as the train was traveling eastbound.
The truck was then drug east.

The driver was life-flighted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

The condition of the victim is not known at this time.

There no cross-arms on the railroad crossing.
