It was a "last" in a lifetime event Tuesday for stargazers across the country and here in the Tri-Cities.

The transit of Venus across the sun's surface. The Hastings Museum held a viewing party tonight on their front lawn.

But that wasn't the only "watch party" in Central Nebraska.

Kids of all ages gathered in Kearney's Yanney Park to observe Earth's neighbor as it passed in front of the sun.
