One local gas station is officially reopen after the building was destroyed by a fire. The Chapman Pump and Pantry burned down last May while it was being renovated.

Students and staff from Chapman Public School cut the ribbon Friday afternoon.

The community attended the grand opening to support of the only store in the Chapman area.

The building has a new contemporary design that Bosselman Companies will use for remodels and future stations.

The fire started last May when workers were using a torch to remove a sign on the roof.

"I think it was a big hit to the community not having someplace local to go to and get the products they need. It was really important to us that we get this store back up operating for the community," said

Store hours are from 5:00 am to 11 pm daily.

The Chapman Pump and Pantry was purchased back in the late 1970s.
