City councils approve increased capacity at Crossroads
The Kearney City Council Tuesday night voted unanimously to allow Crossroads Rescue Mission to increase the capacity at their facility.
The Kearney location will now be able to house 42 people. The previous limit was 27.
Monday night, the Hastings City Council passed a similar measure,
increasing the limit of that facility from 74 to 112.
The capacity increases make Crossroads eligible for a $450,000 state grant.
Crossroads director Jerry Bumgardner spoke with News 5 about the developments. View the video for the full feature.
