Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch returns with family fun

The sights and colors and smells of fall were all coming in to the News 5 studio this morning. It must be time for the Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch and Rhonna and Paul Fredricks stopped in to visit with News 5.

Amy: You still have some of the classics and some new activities this year.

Rhonna: Yes, we added a cow train. It's a barrel train for the kids to ride in and actually we have adults riding in it too. We have big enough cars for them. We have another giant jump pillow, but it's for the little kids that can't get on the other jump pillow. So they have their own giant jump pillow now.

Amy: Sounds great. You have a new slide as well.

Rhonna: Yeah, it's a black tube slide.

Amy: Because people bring their whole families, of course, it's a very family friendly environment, but there are things for adults as well. It's a good place to bring a date on Friday night right, Paul?

Paul: You could bring a date on Friday night. It'd be an inexpensive date compared to a movie.

Amy: That's true!

Paul: But, no, then you could really feed them good with fudge and ice cream and all those good things we have in the store. We have 16 flavors of homemade fudge. We have 12 flavors of homemade ice cream. Our new flavor this year is banana cream pie.

Amy: What goes into you picking your new ice cream flavor for the year? Who decides?

Paul: Rhonna is the official taster of the pumpkin patch.

Amy: So where do people go? This is located just south of Hastings by Glenvil. What times are you open and where can people get tickets?

Paul: We are just a mile and a half south and a mile and a quarter east of Glenvil, Nebraska. We are open on Fridays from 4:00 to 7:00 and that's a reduced admission. It's only $7 admission on Fridays. Saturdays we're open from 10:00 to 7:00 and Sundays noon to 7:00 and it's $8 admission those days.
