A cattle truck crashes, flipping into a riverbed in Grand Island this afternoon leaving livestock dead and a driver looking for his travel companion.

The truck was heading southbound on South Locust it crossed the median hit a concrete bridge rail, did a 360 roll off the bridge into the riverbed.

The driver of the truck told police he had a coughing attack and blacked out behind the wheel.

He was not injured in the crash.

But, 35 head of cattle were on that truck. Six died as a result of the crash.

The driver's Jack Russell Terrier however went missing after the accident.
