A Hastings Doctor and army reservist major is back in Nebraska after serving 3 months in Iraq. Dr. Barry Bohlen from Hastings Orthopedics left for Kuwait in April.

He spent 90 days at a hospital there and Monday arrived back in Hastings.

Dr. Bohlen has been blogging about his time overseas on khastv.com since he left. He said friends help make the experience better.

"The best part I have are the friends that you make when you go on these deployments and I traveled with a certified nurse. Him and me got to be pretty good friends," said Dr. Bohlen.

This is Dr. Bohlen's 4th tour of duty.
