Eddy Street reopens in Grand Island

Traffic in Grand Island is back to normal after one of the city's most traveled roads was closed for more than 3 weeks. The Eddy Street underpass was closed as crews did some significant concrete patching.

Nearly 10-thousand residents use the underpass on a daily basis.

325 yards of cement was used in the project.

While the underpass is in good shape, some updates will be needed in the future.

Among those updates will be some bridge repairs, which will likely come in the next year or two and entail another multi-week shutdown.
