Family left wondering a year after Nebraska Prime death
Thursday is the one year anniversary of a work related death in Adams County. On January 17th of 2012, Adalid Nava- Arcos was severely injured after being caught in a machine at the Nebraska Prime meat packing plant in Hastings.
He was asphyxiated for about 20 minutes, and later died from his injuries.
But one year later his family is still looking for justice.
OSHA fined Nebraska Prime $200,000 for safety violations.
But Nava-Arcos' family, who has be in contact with News 5, tells us they've never received any kind of settlement from the plant and feel his life was treated carelessly.
Nebraska Prime has never responded to our requests for a comment about the accident, but we will continue to keep you updated on our investigation.
