The Kool-Aid man had to step aside Thursday night and give up the spotlight to the first ever Miss Kool Aid Days.

Kimberly Brennan of Omaha beat out three other competitors to take home the honor as Miss Kool Aid Days 2013. She will now move on to compete in the 2013 Miss Nebraska competition which chooses a competitor for Miss America.

The competitors were judged in five categories: Talent, Private Interview, Evening Wear, Lifestyle/Fitness and On Stage Education.

2012 Miss Nebraska winner Mariah Cook was a part of the evening festivities.

The newly renovated Kool-Aid "Discover the Dream" Exhibit re-opened to the public Thursday at the Hastings Museum.

In light of Hastings's 15th year of Kool-Aid days special activities at the museum are set to kick off starting Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
