Grab your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live outdoor music. The sixth annual Flatwater Music Festival kicks off Friday evening.

The event offers live acoustic music on two stages with a beautiful country background.

There are plenty of activities for kids, food, and a beer garden for adults.

Workshops will be offered led by main stage performers and bands.
Plus vendors at the festival will offer handmade items including jewelry, clothing, accessories and more.

"Here we're taking advantage of this agrarian setting in a really unique place and bringing all kinds of people together to listen to world class music and just kick back and relax," said Amy Sandeen, Prairie Loft.

The event began at 6:00 Friday evening and lasts until 11:00 pm.
It also runs Saturday from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.

It costs $10 for admission but kids under 12 years old are free.
