Former Hastings business owner indicted on drug charges
A former Hastings business owner has been federally indicted on drug paraphernalia and drug conspiracy charges.
The North Platte Telegraph reports Rhonda DeCamp, now of Omaha, is one of ten people in Lincoln and Omaha indicted on drug and ammunition charges that allegedly involved numerous Exotica stores. Five of the accused were arrested on December 21st. The indictments stem from a synthetic drug and drug paraphernalia conspiracy operated through numerous Exotica stores in Lincoln and Omaha and Council Bluffs and South Sioux City, Iowa. If convicted, the 10 will face a maximum penalty upon conviction of 33 years in prison and $1.5 million in fines. Hastings police arrested DeCamp in December of 2010 following an investigation where police seized thousands of dollars worth of items from Whirligigs Emporium in Hastings. DeCamp was found guilty of selling drug paraphernalia in Hastings in July of 2012 and moved to Omaha shortly afterwards. |
