Four new burglaries reported in Grand Island

Wednesday we told you that the total number of burglaries in Grand Island was at 30 for the year. That number has gone up... a lot. Friday it stands at 42.

Today four more were reported by Grand Island police. They were at Uncle Ed's Steakhouse on South Locust, at the United Congregational Church on East Bismark, Los Dos Hermanos on North Broadwell, and at Sutter Deli on North Broadwell.

According to police, they don't see anything linking the four as they're spread across the city.

Police tell News 5 they're doing what they can, but they say they just have to catch the people who are breaking the law, that simple.
