"Funny money" spotted in Grand Island
Police want those of you in Grand Island to be on the lookout for counterfeit cash being passed around town. And the "funny money" has made its way to multiple businesses.
According to Grand Island police, a fake $10 bill was used at Big Apple Bagels. The bill was later found by Five Points Bank. Five Points also discovered a fake $20. But it didn't stop there. Courtesy Court Hotel got a hold of two $100 fakes which were later found by Exchange Bank. Police have one major thing to know in case your money doesn't look right. Police added that someone did try to use a fake hundred at the Snack Shack. And when the clerk refused it the subject offered the clerk $40 to take the fake. There are no suspects at this time. If you know anything about the counterfeits you are asked to contact Grand Island police. |
