GI Salvation Army reaches fundraising goal

Tools

Ringing those bells in the cold was well worth for the Grand Island Salvation army. They reached their goal of $205,000.

Less than two weeks ago, they were about $30,000 short.

Donations like twenty-eight $100 bills and several checks mailed in between $1000 and $5000 helped the campaign reach their $205,000 goal..

All of the money used for the red kettle campaign us used to support various programs throughout the whole year.

The funds also represent about a third of their entire operating budget for the 2012-2013 year.
