They're called Geminid because they appear to come from the constellation Gemini. Experts are predicted as many as 120 meteors per hour to strike across the sky. Hastings College Sachtleben Observatory will be the place of viewing tonight. The peak time is expected to be after midnight. Thursday night's event is open and free to the public starting at 7:30pm. Hot beverages will be available. Visitors are encouraged to bundle up, and get cozy, bring blankets and reclining chairs. |
