Grand Island Police arrest squatters

Grand Island Police arrested two admitted squatters Saturday morning,
after they allegedly blew out the windows of an abandoned house on Eddy Street.

Police arrested Cody Fackler and Amy Billington, both 28 years old.
Officers say the two had been spray painting a bicycle in a confined space while using an open flame camp stove to heat the room.

The result was a flash fire and explosion that caused significant damage to the house.

Both Fackler and Billington are charged with burglary.
