Sequestration has some residents worried. But, Central Nebraska Regional Airport Executive director Mike Olson wants to lessen the worries of travelers on the affect the nations sequester will have on the closing of their air traffic control tower.

A State Senator from Kansas is doing his part as well.

Olson says they've received a number of calls regarding the tower. But, adds the airport will remain open and air service with American Eagle and Allegiant will not be disrupted.

Olson also mentioned that Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas has offered an amendment to the federal government continuing to find a resolution to fund the contract tower program through the end of the fiscal year of 2013 which is September 30th.

Olson encourages local residents to contact Senators Deb Fischer and Mike Johanns.

Olson says the tower is a key to the airports continued growth.
