Grand Island couple convicted of loan fraud
A Grand Island couple could be facing a stiff sentence soon.
This after they were convicted this week of conspiracy and making false bank statements. Billy and Carol Nesiba were found guilty of those charges by a federal jury Wednesday. According to evidence presented in court, the couple, doing business as Bill's Classic Auto, submitted a number of false personal financial statements to three different banks in the Grand Island area. The false financial statements were what allowed the two to continue to get loans from each bank totaling a loss of about $850,000. Sentencing is set for February 15th. |
